My name is Billy Glassner and I am a brand builder with over 25 years of sales and marketing leadership in the fashion, entertainment, and outdoor spaces. Since 2008, I have also been the Director of Partnerships and Archivist for the Newport Festivals Foundation (producer of the annual Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals). After 12 years of managing these two parallel careers, I have merged them into one. In 2020, I formed Big Happy Dinosaur in order to dedicate my energy to projects within the music and media spaces.

In my early professional days, I formed my own artist management company in San Francisco. With two regionally successful bands on my roster, I learned the ropes of the music business from the ground up. After the break up of my most promising band, I transitioned full-time to a career in brand building starting at Levi Strauss & Co. and then on to Reebok, Timberland, Burton, Adidas, and Keen.

I am based in Rhode Island with my wife, two kids, and two friendly mutts. In my downtime, when I’m not tending to the garden or my fairly extensive record collection, I’m usually with my family in the salty waves of Newport or the green mountains of Vermont.
